OK, all the music is done. 90% mixed as good as it can be so a few tweaks here and there and all will be done.
Currently working on the album cover and various artwork. Not long to go now ![]()
Looks all set for April release so watch this space............

As mentioned in the previous blog, the tracks are all finished. I have to edit a few here and there before proper mixing and mastering can take place. However, I built a little radio station that features around 2 minutes of each track just to give you some idea of how it all fits together. There is now a bonus track called Pluto. The whole project will be around an hour long when it's finished.

All the tracks are now written. I burned a disc the other day to see how it all sounded together and everything seemed fine. Just a matter of mixing it all properly then I can get everything finished.
Not sure how many of you have Spotify but both albums are now on the site so feel free to compile you own playlists there:

Just one track to complete (damn you, Jupiter) before the mixing starts. I'll be updating the tracks today to see how it all sounds together and make any notes I may need for minor (or major) tweaks.
There'll be 16 tracks on the album plus, maybe, a bonus track, Pluto. It's had a rough time over the years; Holst didn't know of it's existence, Herschel discovered it, then science dismissed it again. I'll include it (space permitting) on the CD.
Cheers

Almost finished the tracks. Only rudimentary mixing thus far. However, I've included here a minute from each track as they stand right now. There are 14 in all but I plan on including a prelude and a postlude. Looks like being a massive work..........

I've been writing new material for the forthcoming album "Planets and Atmospheres". The basic idea is that I write a musical interpretation of the planets but I decided to do that and interpret what the surface/atmosphere of the planets would be also. Mercury, for example, will be very hot and likely lots of molten rock noises. From a distance, the planet will look very fiery and the music should reflect that.
Anyway, here are some of the works in progress. The title track h...

It appears I've been writing blogs for months and I've been the only one able to read them ![]()
I should have checked the settings maybe?
Anyway, what there is of them are now here for your amusement. I hope you enjoy them.
Not much news at the moment. Lots of visitors to the site and a few subsequent sales via iTunes. I'm thinking about doing a video but they're so time consuming and expensive. I'm sure I'll figure out a way of doing one without taking out a huge...

It's taken a while but the album is now out there in the real (and virtual) world. The album is available as CD or download here: http://www.cdbaby.com/cd/philter2#
If you buy the CD it might be worth considering buying the CD without the jewel case as that will save you a few bucks in postage fees. Most folk have a spare jewel case hanging around at home anyway. Like I said, worth considering.
Cheers
